A black-tie “winter wonderland” cocktail evening with live music and dancing is being planned for this year’s Farmers Rangiora Winter Festival.
The licenced, ticketed event will be held in Rangiora’s Blake St carpark in a marquee specially decorated for the occasion, on the evening of Friday July 28. It will be a themed celebration of winter.
There will be live entertainment throughout the night, with music to dance to, lovely food to sample and interesting cocktails to try.
“It will be a chance for people to put on their glad rags and have a great night out,” says one of organisers, Karl Horwarth, co-owner of the Fools of Desire Cafe and Reality Bites Cafe in Rangiora.
Negotiations are also underway to confirm the Farmers Market in High St at the festival. The search is also on for sponsors for a “fun fashion parade” and a fireworks display, he says.
The Rangiora Farmers department store is once again the main sponsor for the festival which will run from Thursday July 27 to Sunday July 30.
Other sponsors are: Singapore Airlines, Michelle Nelson: Bayleys Real Estate, Stevens, Pascoes, Whitcoulls, Singapore Airlines, Mainpower, Mike Greer North Canterbury, Mitre 10 Mega, New World Rangiora, Connect North Canterbury, Ray White Rangiora, and Westpac Rangiora.Sport medianike fashion
