A lucky visitor to this year’s Farmers Rangiora Festival in July will get the chance to win an exciting international travel prize for two.

A festival organiser Karl Howarth says people will be in with a chance to win the travel tickets during the festival.

“So keep watching our Facebook page until then.

“But in the meantime we have a great competition to help choose where you can fly to,” he says.

This year, new sponsor Singapore Airlines, has brought international flair to the festival by putting up two return air tickets to an as yet undecided destination with many worldwide locations, including London, Paris, New Delhi, Colombo, Laos, Dusseldorf, Stockholm, and Malaysia to choose from.

The Singapore Airlines South Island sales manager, Jessica Cribbens, says the airline will be giving away two International economy class return air tickets from Christchurch on Singapore Airlines or the SilkAir network as part of the 2017 Rangiora Winter Festival prize.

“The Singapore Airlines group flies to over 130 destinations in more than 30 countries with services linking Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and southwest Pacific. Singapore Airlines’ regional sister airline SilkAir operates as our premium carrier on short haul flights within Asia,” she says.

Imagine you could jump on a plane and fly to any one of these exotic locations. Where in the world would you choose to go?

This is the big question festival organisers want answered in the competition they have organised to find out the most popular travel destination.

“Tell us where you would like to escape to,” says Karl. Everyone entering the competition goes in the draw to win a free breakfast for two at Fools of Desire Cafe in Rangiora, a diecast model of a Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 aircraft and a $40 Rangiora Farmers department store voucher.

To enter the competition visit the festival’s Facebook page ww.facebook.com/RangioraWinterFestival name a destination and a friend you would like to escape with, like and share that post, and like the Rangiora Winter Festival page.

“We will then hand over your top choices to Singapore Airlines to ask them to include them in the big prize for the July Festival,” says Karl.

The festival opens on Thursday July 27 and runs until Sunday July 30 with the main Festival day on Saturday July 29.
