More than 1000 cars roared into Kaikoura over the weekend to set the town buzzing, despite alert level 2 restrictions.
Kaikoura Hop organiser Doug O’Callahan was thrilled with the turnout, after a stressful build-up because of Covid-19.
“It was a good weekend. Under level 2 restrictions, we managed to pull off the impossible. It wasn’t a normal Hop, but bring it on next year. It’s going to rock.”
While the car show, rock’n roll dance party and Sunday burn-outs were cancelled, there was lots of cruising around town and about 250 cars cruised to Hanmer Springs on Saturday.
“It was a planned strategy with the Kaikoura District Council and the police to ease the pressure on the bars and cafes, because we knew they would struggle to cope with the numbers.”jordan SneakersAir Jordan Release Dates 2020
